This is the classic iron griddle -- a full 12 inches across. The perfect stove-top griddle for cooking eggs with little or no oil -- for frying up bacon -- for grilling cheese sandwiches -- and any 12" lid will fit it while you cook! The griddle is 1/2" deep so you don't loose those great juices -- and this also makes it the perfect depth for a stove-top wafer-thin cornbread! Please remember that cast iron really is IRON and is therefore pretty heavy stuff -- and so not recommended to be handled by children alone, or by those with bone and joint problems. (But excellent for weight training....) As the first (and still the best) non-stick cookware -- it takes very little work to achieve and maintain a good "seasoned" surface -- plus it adds micro amounts of iron to your diet every time you use it! |
