If you are a serious collector of North American Bear Company's Muffy Vanderbear and/or her family and friends, you should know that we here at Purciful's have many more bears, outfits, accessories, furniture pieces and set pieces than are actually listed here in our pages. For example, I only list complete family groupings -- and separate Muffy and/or Hoppy in each of the Vanderbear family group pages. In our "backroom", however, we have many bears which are not part of a complete set which could be sold individually. You just have to ask to see if we have the one you're looking for! In the store pages, I list Muffy and Hoppy outfits in 3 categories: current, hard to find, and rare. In fact, these categories are also appropriate for family bear outfits, Lulu, Purrlie, Oatsie, and all the many other Vanderbear friends from over the years. We have many storage bins full of wonderful MINT in Bag outfits for all the Muffy clan -- what we don't have is enough pages on our site to list them all for you! In addition to MINT items in the backroom, we also have very collectable boxed, limited edition, and rare bears who are in EXCELLENT condition, or which are MINT except that they are missing a hangtag, or have some wear on their boxes or packaging. For example, we offer in the internet store a Muffy Angel -- MINT IN BOX from 1989 for $390. She is wearing her "blue angel" or "Renaissance angel" costume (for her school kindergarten play, of course). In perfect condition, but without the box, I have another which would sell for $330 -- a 15% discount. All the limited edition and other bears which are in EXCELLENT condition, or in MINT condition in a slightly damaged box (or missing their box entirely) sell for 15% below the price on our regular store pages. The only exception to this policy is for Vanderbears from the first 6 groupings and first 2 individual Muffys (1983-1987). For those collections, all bears in EXCELLENT or better condition, with or without tags, sell for a premium price because of their extreme collectibility. These excluded groupings include: Classic Velvet; Red Flannel; Muffy Valentine I; Muffy Witch; Taffeta Holiday; A Day in the Country; and Nutcracker. We should tell you that because of increasing rarity, the Furrier and Ives and Tree Trimming collections will soon be moving into this excluded category. So, if there is a specific outfit, bear, accessory, furniture piece, tablecloth, poster, picture frame, fan club gift, box, bag, pin, sign, catalog, post card --or whatever-- that you've been searching for, chances are very good we have at least one of them in that dark cave of a backroom where all the Muffys live.
