Purciful loves dice
games -- and here's one of her very own inventions:
TROLL BOWLING
The game is playes with 2 or more people and 6 six-sided
dice: 5 bone dice and one magical round die.
The object of the game is to bowl the highest score in 10
rounds of play
-- the catch is, the round die is a WILD DIE. Here are the rules:
#1.....Roll
all 5 bone dice*. If any of the
bone dice match, those are your scoring dice. Add up the points on the dice that match. (If none match, your score for that
round is 0)
NOTE: In true TROLL BOWLING, the bone dice are stacked one on top of the other, forming a BONE-TROLL, and then the round die is rolled from 12 inches away toward the pole. (shorter distances are allowed for small children) If the pole is knocked down within 2 tries, then play continues at the scoring faze of #2. If the BONE-TROLL is not knocked down in 2 tries, the player makes no points for that round. THIS FORM OF TROLL BOWLING REQUIRES MORE DEXTERITY (and a bigger table) THAN THE VERSION DESCRIBED IN PURCIFUL'S STANDARD TROLL BOWLING RULES.
#2.....Roll
the round die.
.......If you roll the same number on the round die that is
on your scoring dice, (called a WITCH'S
SPARE) then double your scoring dice points. --So, if you had 3 dice that were
scoring dice worth 4 points each and you rolled a 4 -- your WITCH'S SPARE -- then your score for that round would be
12+12=24
.......If you roll a 1 on the round die and that is not the
number of your scoring dice, (this is called a WITCH'S FIZZLE) then you lose 1 point for each of
your scoring dice. --So if you had
3 dice that were scoring dice worth 4 points each, you would lose 3 points by
rolling a WITCH'S FIZZLE,
making your final score for that round 12-3=9.
.......If you roll a 6 on the round die and that is not the
number of your scoring dice, (this is called a WITCH'S BLAST) then you add 2 points to each of your
scoring dice. --So, if you had 3
dice that were scoring dice worth 4 points each, you would add 6 points by
rolling a WITCH'S BLAST,
making your final score for that round 12+6=18.
.......Any other number rolled on the round die neither adds
nor subtracts from the total of the scoring dice.
#3.....Add
up the scores from each round.
Highest score after 10 rounds wins!
